Dear Patriots!
Partly cloudy in the mid-forties is the forecast for this Saturday. Are you coming to the Rotary 10 -12? Yes? Maybe?
Make a sign to speak about your frustrations, worries, outrage and strongly worded admonitions.
No? How about a sign about caring, conflict solutions, sustainability and community support.
Not into making? We have extra signs to borrow.
Join us in community collective action, and prepare for working together to protect our democracy, and to meet some really nice people.
Here’s a link to sign up and other information:
We will be selling signs for sale Saturday in the center of the Rotary

single sided – $10,
double sided – $15 (with wire H for lawn display)
We have been asked about conflicting time with Westborough Town Meeting.
Date:
March 21, 2026
Time:
9:00 AM
Address:
Westborough High School
90 West Main Street
Westborough, MA 01581
You can do both (unless a warrant that you want to vote on comes up during that time). As a Westborough resident, it is important to be aware of how your government works and be able to express your opinions about town concerns. This is how it all works, the very grassroots of it all. This is your choice. Here are some links to help to find the Warrants being brought to vote:

The SAVE Act
I just heard that the deciding vote to move the Bill out of committee to the floor for voting was cast in favor. This is important! We encourage you to contact your representatives to oppose the Save Act. For more information on this bill and how it will make it harder to vote for millions of Americans check out the information from the League of Women Voters.
ICE in Massachusetts
Rep. Ayanna Pressley and Todd Palmer
We had the good fortune to welcome Todd Palmer to our March 10 meeting. He gave a terrific presentation about the crisis caused by the Federal administration’s policy of immigrant deportation and ICE’s unlawful and cruel actions. An office building in Burlington is being used ahttps://pressley.house.gov/2026/03/12/pressley-conducts-oversight-visit-at-burlington-ice-facility-gets-answers-demands-protections-for-detained-community-members-and-families/s an ICE detention center. Please read about Rep. Ayanna Pressley’s visit to the center.
Govenor Healey We urgently request that you end the 287(g) agreement with ICE and the Department of Corrections. This is a link to actions taken thus far:

is finally here!

Register and details
We are showing up together again on March 28

”When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence. America does not belong to strongmen, greedy billionaires, or those who rule through fear. It belongs to us, the people.” https://www.nokings.org
The Work Continues
“America has a long history, rooted in white supremacy, of suppressing the rights of people of color. But our history also clearly shows that people-powered movements are how we end authoritarianism.
Throughout 2025, in the face of unprecedented attacks, millions of us joined together in our communities and held the largest single day of morally grounded, nonviolent direct actions by any movement in US history. Each time we show up, we disrupt President Trump’s attempts to rule through repression and remind the country, and the world, that people power is our path to a truly free America. “ No Kings.org
Indivisible’s commitment to Nonviolence
“Indivisible is firmly committed to non-violence. That’s not just a moral stance—it’s how we build durable power.
Our resistance is strategic, principled, and grounded in the knowledge that peaceful movements win.”
A good article about “strategic frivolity”:
We have work to do. Stand strong. Let the love of your home, community, our country and the entire planet strengthen you as you step out of your comfort zone and be heard.
In Solidarity
